A: Allied Waste has two convenient locations for customers. One is the Mussel Rock Transfer Station at Skyline Drive and Westline Drive in Daly City. This facility is open six days a week except Sundays (and major holidays). Customers can also take their garbage to Ox Mountain Sanitary Landfill off Highway 92, three miles east of Half Moon Bay. A. For those rare times that Allied Waste does not pick up a customer's garbage, the primary reasons are:

• It was not left at the curb by 4 a.m. or our driver did not have access to your cans;
• The cans were too heavy, many times loaded with rock, dirt or concrete (carts must not exceed 60 lbs in weight). We usually send the driver back the same or next day after we receive your call.
• Cart contains unacceptable materials (i.e hazardous materials, e-waste, etc)
• Extra collection was not scheduled. Please contact (650) 756-1130 to learn about fees and schedule extra collection.
